It is Important to know that every single plumber you meet will have a different opinion on which tool is the best, or which tool brand is the best. Find what is comfortable to you and eventually you will be able to try other brands to find what is right for you.

1. Pipe Wrench: A pipe wrench is a quintessential plumbing tool used to grip and turn pipes and fittings. It comes in various sizes for different pipe diameters. You are going to need a couple different sizes. My favorite is my 10in rigid aluminum wrench.

2. PVC Pipe Cutters: Perfect for cutting PVC pipes cleanly and quickly, these cutters ensure precise measurements for your plumbing projects.

3. PEX Cutters: When working with PEX tubing, PEX cutters are a must. They provide clean, burr-free cuts for hassle-free connections.

4. Stainless steel ring Pex Crimpers: When working with PEX tubing, stainless steel ring crimpers are the fastest way to connect fittings.

5. Adjustable Open-End Wrench: This versatile wrench adjusts to fit different sizes of nuts and bolts. It's a valuable tool for various plumbing fittings.

6. Tongue and Groove Pliers: Also commonly known as Channel locks, These pliers have adjustable jaws and provide a firm grip on pipes and other objects, making them a versatile choice. I have used standard pliers, however my favorite is my Vice grip push button adjustable wrench.

7. Spirit Level: To ensure your installations are perfectly level and plumb, a spirit level is crucial for maintaining the integrity of plumbing systems.

8. 6-in-1 Screwdriver: A compact tool with multiple interchangeable bits, the 6-in-1 screwdriver is handy for a range of screw types and sizes. My favorite is my 9-in-1 Milwaukee brand screwdriver.

9. Big Screwdriver: A larger screwdriver can provide additional torque for tougher fastening jobs. A flat head one is great for prying on things.

10. Small Claw Hammer: A small claw hammer is useful for tasks like driving nails into walls for mounting fixtures or hangers.

11. Allen Key Set: Also known as hex keys, an Allen key set helps tighten or loosen hexagonal screws and bolts, commonly found in plumbing fixtures.

12. Razor Knife: A razor knife is indispensable for cutting various materials, including plastic, rubber, and packaging. My favorite knife is a Milwaukee brand folding knife with a screw driver attachment.

13. Junior Hacksaw: When you need to cut through metal pipes or other materials in tight spaces, a junior hacksaw is the tool for the job. I use mine mostly for cutting toilet bolts after I am done installing a toilet.

14. Basin Wrench: This specialized wrench is designed for reaching and tightening nuts on faucet and sink connections in confined spaces. There are many different head sizes and types of basin wrenches.

15. Ferrule Puller: A must have tool for any service plumber. When changing out Compression stops under any sink, you will need this tool to change out the ferrule that is attached to the copper pipe. If you do not have this tool you run the risk of having leaks on the new stop. You would have to cut the copper which is often times not possible as the old stop is flush with the wall.

16. Measuring Tape: There are multiple brands, sizes, and lengths of measuring tapes. I am partial to a 20 foot Milwaukee brand Tape.

17. Pipe Cutter: A pipe cutter is ideal for cutting pipes cleanly and precisely, especially in tight spots. They can be used on various pipes and come in different sizes. Ideal for cutting plastic pipes like ABS or PVC.

18. Plumbers Torch: A mapp gas torch is a must when working with smaller copper sizes. There are multiple types of torches, however my favorite type is one that has a hose extension to be able to get into tighter spaces.

19. Copper Tubing Cutters: For cutting copper pipes, tubing cutters are indispensable. They ensure smooth, precise cuts without deformation. These come in multiple sizes and some are adjustable. Milwaukee has a really good 3 piece set including 1/2in 3/4in and 1in.

20. Pipe Deburring Tool: This tool removes burrs and sharp edges from cut pipes, ensuring smooth connections and reducing the risk of leaks.
